Liquidation.com is wholesale and surplus auctions by liquidators (online liquidation auctions).
What does this mean to you?
This means you have access to products at wholesale prices in over 500 categories. You can buy items at wholesale and sell them on eBay, Amazon, Overstock or your own online store.
Is Liquidation.com a Scam?
No it is legitimate company (Check their BBB record). BUT it is very easy to loose money if you ignore 5 simple rules below.
Is it Good for Selling on eBay?
Is it a good place to buy items at wholesale and sell them on eBay?
Yes, if you follow 5 simple rules:
- Condition of a product – it may vary from brand-new to salvage. Make sure that you double check the condition before you bid on item. Because there is nothing worse than end up with a product you cannot sell. In 99.9% it doesn’t worth to deal with “used”, “salvage”, “shelf pull” or “refurbished” lots. There is no way to determine upfront what would be the exact condition and item identified as a retail return can turn out to be a damaged item and you can end up in a very tricky situation when you have to lose money just to get rid of the product. It is very hard to get your money back because their terms and conditions regarding any guarantees are somewhat blurry and Liquidation.com makes no guarantees of functionality and completeness of accessories. So save yourself a lot of time and money and DO NOT bid on “used”, “salvage”, “shelf pull” or “refurbished” lots. There are a lot of people that did and lost their money – you can find their complaints all over the Internet. So the takeaway from here is to deal with NEW products, this way you can be sure you get working assets in original package with complete set of the characteristics/qualities/ features.
- Always take into consideration before bidding:
- Buyer’s Premium-5% from the final bid price and shipping cost. Liquidation.com offers two shipping options: first – they ship to you; second you may pick it up yourself. They have 8 locations around USA.
- Have maximum amount you willing to pay in mind before you bid. Don’t fall for auction spinning. (If a bid was made 3 min before auction end, they extend time to give other bidders chance).
- Find out the average sale price for a product you’re planning to bid for. Have that number in front of you when you’re bidding. If auction price is more than you willing to pay – stop, calm down and find another auction with same merchandise. It happened to me when I was about to overpay $200 for the lot. I did stop and couple days later purchased the same lot for $300 less.
- If you live in certain states (Arkansas, California, Indiana, New Jersey or Texas) you may have to pay sales tax.
- Always check manifest for exact models and quantities.
- Liquidation.com is not a drop shipper and they cannot offer you the same renewable spectra of products all the time. You cannot absolutely rely on their source of products if you have your own online store. Always have some product reserve at home, so running out of stock horror never happens to you.
So with these rules in mind you can go ahead and surf their website looking for bargains.

Liquidation.com Complaints
Liquidation.com is different from other auction sites. With most auction sites, your transaction is between a person or business and yourself. At Liquidation.com, most of the products are warehoused and shipped by Liquidation.com. This gives you security and reliability. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been guarding consumers against fraud for decades. I strongly recommend that before you invest in ANY purchase for your eBiz, you check with the BBB to be sure that you’re buying from a reputable company. Click Here to see Liquidation.com BBB record. The company’s size, volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The complaints filed against a company may not be as important as the type of complaints, and how the company has handled them. Note, considering that they have number of complaints on file, most of them were resolved.
How safe is Liquidation.com?
One of the biggest concerns about buying anything online is always reliability! Is the vendor or seller honest? Will I get my products? Is it safe to give out my credit card to anyone? With Liquidation.com, you buy directly FROM Liquidation.com. The product comes directly from them (in most cases), not the seller. The transaction is usually between you and Liquidation.com. Knowing this will generate a sense of comfort and assurance that your large transaction purchases are not scams. So far Liquidation.com has conducted 1.8 million transactions between 1.2 million registered users generating over $1 billion in gross merchandise value.
Conclusion
No matter if you’re selling on eBay or you have your own online store, you can supply product sourcing by using liquidation items to draw customers to your business at bargain-basement prices, and then show your customers your higher-priced regular product line. This is called “Loss Leader strategy”(all big stores are successfully using it), and liquidation products are perfect for this time-tested method! If used right you can find great deals on Liquidation.com and you can score BIG. With 5 rules in mind, Liquidation.com is absolutely worth trying. Membership is absolutely FREE. You get wholesale supply of products in over 500 categories. One more suggestion – do not jump right away in computer and consumer electronics category, because a lot of people do the same and they jack up the bid prices. Look over clothing and accessories, house wares, hardware and equipment. There are plenty of HOT deals going on right now. So do not hesitate to check it out for yourself. I dont suggest buying from them at all. Why?
1. you can’t cancel bid. they sneak in a 15% or $200 charge per item if you dont pay OR they dont send it and have no choice but to cancel after set time (riiight)
2. They really screw you on shipping. Like big time.
You can’t reason with them as that $200 is what they are after. Yuo will hav eno recourse but to file a dispute with cc company.
Btw if you register to bid notice how they say provide us with a cc for “verification” purposes. My ass what they do is charge you $200 time x if you come to your senses and see the taxes (which they only tell you by email after you bid!) btw and shipping.
You remove card from their system but guess what they still retain the info. They charge and again no recourse but a chargeback.
WOW!!! That was great information about liquidation online stores. Thanks for the info, this will save me a lot of headaches when purchasing anything from these sites. I will probably use some of these items as promotions for my future online store. Thanks
I have bought several big lots from liquidation.com that have made me pretty good money, the real “secret” is to avoid so called hot items like electronics, computers, iPads, iPhones etc.. Because everybody is bidding on them and they jack up the prices so you have no chance to make profit. They key is to bid in categories that are not oversaturated and do your market research before you buy.
Just don’t use Liquidation.com . Buyer premium rate and quantity variant fee are hurting your transactions, add in the tax and the shipping. If you are buying somewhere to try and make profit. Please, do not use liquidation.com. It is a legitimate company, you are also almost safe in using paypal , your items will almost be shipped to your door. But!!!! everyone is paying a lot for items. The items which u can get your hands on will usually be those of shelve surplussed item (those items which customers won’t buy in the shopping center)
I used this site, and bought 2 big transactions over 3 days monitoring at 12 hours a day.
You will be yelling at the other people who bid on items, and or regretting yourself knowing who would pay so much for those heavily used item at 80% of the price of the brand new products.
Last word “You will not be making money off of these people”
As of where to buy your wholesale at and make profit from ? I am still looking for one
Buying something without seeing it is a big risk. Especially when you buy things that you can not return, then you have an idea how risky it is. That is how you buy from Liquidation.com. Even you follow a good guidance, buying new items only, there is still much more than 50% chance you end up with unprofitable merchandise.
Let’s say that Liquidation.com is not a scam company, but you hardly know the sellers and the merchandise that you are buying from them. I discovered that most of the new items sold here are cheaply China made, and a lot of times they are overbid. In my experience, you should not buy from a long time sellers that always sell new items on this site. Reasons: In order to make money with a huge fee they have to pay for Liquidation.com, more than 90% of their items are very cheap made in China, and these items are very hard to be resale for profit. Do you get a picture?
Conclusion: Do not buy from Liquidation.com
Hi,
After my first bid on liquidation.com, I bid on a lot of 200 beautiful skirts that as per description are brand new and unpacked. I used their shipping charges calculator, which basically estimated the shipping charge to be around let’s say $40-50. So I thought perfect. My bid was $130 on the lot, and I was okay with paying $40-50 on shipping. Well, once I won the bid my invoice was waiting for me to pay $281.59. My jaw literally dropped. I looked at the shipping charge and there it was
200 Brand New Ladies Fashion Skirts, 200pcs $130.00 $130.00
Shipping & Logistics $145.41
Buyer’s Premium $6.50
Grand Total $281.91
$145.41 whopping dollars! More than the lot I bid on. I immediatelly contacted them via their online chat, She told me that the shipping charges calculator is just estimation!!! Estimation that is off by freaking $100, almost tripple than what it tells you once you calcuate the shipping charges for the lot! I was blown away, but there was no way out. I had to scramble and somehow pay this invoice that honestly I am not even interested anymore in these skirts…..Still it’s a good deal since I am getting 200 at the price of $1.5 considering the total of the invoice was $281.91. But I don’t think it’s right for them to elude people into thinking that you will pay for shipping $40-50 and then all of a sudden it’s $150. triple!!! This was my first and my last purchase on liquidation.com, until they fix their shipping calculator. I work in logistics dept as an import coordinator so I know how this works and this is totally off, you feel like you got ripped off. If I provided to my customers shipping quotes like this, we wouldn’t have logistics dept anymore….
Liqiuidation.com is an easy way to become a millionaire you just need to be,a billionaire first. This company screws you at so many points, starting with a buyers premium, outrages high shipping fees and finally not sending what you really were biding for but cheap made China items. Seriously DO NOT USE THEM! Don’t make the same mistake I made.
