Registering Domain and Installing Your Blog

Did you found that perfect domain name?

• Yes – now we’re going to register it and install your blog.

If you decided to use JustHost, then it makes things even easier, they offer free domain so all you have to do is to choose an option “register new domain for me” when signing up.

Installing WordPress with Fantastico

Now we’re going to install WordPress on your domain. So to start, go to “YourDomain.com/cpanel” and login with the admin details your host provided, scroll to the bottom and click “Fantastico” (icon with blue smiley), now on the left hand side there is a link to “WordPress”, click that and click “New Installation”, fill in the form and then click Install WordPress and you are done, now go to your domain and your blog will be installed.

Creating your Blog Posts

Now that you have your blog installed, it is time to take a look inside. Go to “www.YourDomain.com/wp-login.php” (change YourDomain.com for whatever domain you have chosen for your blog), enter your username and password (those ones you specified when installing your blog with Fantastico in a previous step). You will see WordPress admin dashboard, on the left side you’ll see “Add New” under “Posts”. If you click that, you will be able to add new post to your blog.
